How Does a Dental Bridge Work?

A tooth bridge fills the empty space in your mouth — typically without the need for surgery — and can be completed in as little as 2 to 3 weeks. In some cases, we may recommend placing implants on either side of the gap to serve as the attachment point for your bridge. In others, your neighboring healthy teeth may be covered with a crown which will then hold the bridge in place.

What to Expect

  • Neighboring teeth are prepared to act as the “anchor” for your dental bridge
  • A temporary bridge is placed to protect your teeth and gums
  • The final restoration is custom-made to fit your mouth and looks just like your real teeth
  • We’ll bond the finished bridge into place to complete your restoration
